Hi, I'm Colin-Jenson. I'm based in Switzerland, I do IT by day and run CJ3Media after hours. Cars, motion, the occasional half-built thing on the desk.
I'd rather show than say, so most of the home page is mood. This page is the plain answer: who, what, what I'm currently obsessing over.

What I do
By trade: systems and infrastructure. The unglamorous half of IT: networks, servers, the things that have to keep working when no one's looking. It's satisfying because the answers are concrete: something either runs or it doesn't, and you usually know within minutes.
By inclination: a maker. Automation scripts, hardware odds and ends, the occasional half-formed venture. What ships tends to start as 'this should already exist.' The rest sharpens the craft.
On the side: CJ3Media, where I live out my creativity. Cars, motion, slow shutters. A different kind of patience.

Represented Cloud Computing at the SwissSkills 2025 National Championship. Placed 18th. A short stretch of very long days.

Apprenticeship completed · final grade 5.6 / 6
Finished a four-year Swiss IT apprenticeship (2021-2025) at the top end of the grade range. Learned the most by doing and troubleshooting, not from textbooks.

ICT Regional Championship · Cloud Computing · 8th place
Placed 8th nationwide and 2nd in Zürich in the Regional Championship for Cloud Computing.

Swiss Exchange · New York, USA
Spent October-November in New York during the apprenticeship through TIE International, presenting the Swiss dual VET (Vocational Education and Training) system.
